When I say "I am A Christian"
When I say I am a Christian,
I知 saying I am saved;
And I知 whispering, I was lost,
That痴 why I chose His way.
When I say I am a Christian,
I don稚 speak out of [self] pride;
I'm confessing that I stumble,
Needing Christ to be my guide.
When I say I am a Christian,
I知 not trying to be strong;
I知 professing that I知 weak,
And pray for strength to carry on.
When I say I am a Christian,
I知 not bragging of success;
I知 admitting I have failed,
And cannot ever pay the debt.
When I say I am a Christian,
I don't think I know it all;
I submit my confusion,
Asking humbly to be taught.
When I say I am a Christian,
I'm not claiming to be perfect;
My flaws are all too visible,
But I'm glad God thinks We're worth it.
When I say I am a Christian,
I still feel the sting of pain;
For I still have my share of heartaches,
Which is why I seek His Name.
When I say, I am a Christian,
I do not seek to judge;
Maybe I can point the way,
By sharing God's Love.
